Dame Ellen Pinsent are pleased to be the Birmingham SEN Apple Regional Training Centre.

As an Apple Regional Training Centre (RTC), Dame Ellen Pinsent School is offering free training sessions on how to use iPads for teaching and learning.

  • Hands-on experience
  • Interactive courses
  • Experienced and knowledgable trainers

Feel free to bring your own iPad or you can borrow an iPad for the session.

All courses have limited spaces and each school can book up to two free spaces. 

The sessions are open to all educators. Trainee teachers are also welcome.

The iPad is an extremely versatile tool for media creation. Children can become music producers using tools within iPad. Simple apps can be utilised to create stunning works of art at all levels. Using QR and AR to make wall displays interactive.

Using QR (Quick Response) codes can make displays engaging for pupils, they can scan and find extra information linked to the code. Use of Augmentive Reality can make a 2D wall display come to life, making them inspiring and engaging for pupils, staff and visitors alike!
